Araceli Becerra

September 22, 1977 — June 12, 2025

Araceli "Chela" Becerra, a radiant soul whose laughter filled the corners of every room, passed away unexpectedly on June 12, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Born on September 22, 1977, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, Chela possessed an infectious spirit and a love for life that touched everyone she encountered.

For eleven wonderful years, Chela dedicated her passion for baking at Pappa's Bakery, where the sweet aromas that wafted through the air were only rivaled by her warm, inviting personality. She brought joy not only through her delicious confections but also through her vibrant presence that made those around her feel truly special.

Chela was not just the life of the party; she was the very essence of joie de vivre. Her laughter was a melody, her energy an illuminating force, brightening the lives of those lucky enough to know her. With a heart as expansive as her laughter, she created bonds that transcended mere friendship; she inspired loyalty and warmth in everyone she met.

She leaves behind her beloved children, Javier Becerra, Karina Aguilar, and Juan Aguilar, who carry her legacy of love and laughter forward. Chela was also a cherished daughter to her parents, Ruben Becerra and Maria Gonzalez Becerra, the glue that held her family together. The support of her siblings—Juanita, Delia, and Mariana Becerra, along with her brother Manuel Becerra—was vital in her life, providing a nurturing bond that was foundational to her exuberant spirit.

The twinkle in her eye dulled a little more when she lost her precious daughter, Evelyn Aguilar, along with her uncle Miguel Gonzalez, her maternal grandfather Jesus Gonzalez, and her paternal grandparents Rafael Becerra and Juana Placencia. Yet, her love for life only magnified through the legacy she left behind in her grandchildren, Eliana De Leon and Xaria Sophia Becerra, who will forever carry a piece of her essence within them.

Chela was more than a sister, daughter, partner, or friend; she was a partner in crime to her loved ones. Together they created a tapestry of shared moments, countless smiles, and an indelible mark of joy. Her partner, Edwin Pineda, was by her side with unwavering support, while her numerous nieces and nephews admired her as the cool aunt, one who was always ready to share a laugh or a sweet treat.

As friends and family gather in remembrance of Chela, they are invited to pay their respects and celebrate the vivid life she led during the visitations taking place on June 22 and 23, 2025, at Integrity Funeral Home, followed by her final resting place at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Houston, Texas.

Araceli Becerra's life was a celebration of love, laughter, and baking that transcended the ordinary. Though she may have left this world, her joyful spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she loved, echoing the laughter that once filled every room and reminding us all to embrace life with exuberance, just as she did.
