Demetrio “Don Tito” Barrientos, passed away peacefully on November 29th, 2023. He was born on September 4th, 1935 in Agualeguas, NL, Mexico. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience and love, created together with his wife of over 50 years, Zulema Barrientos Molina, who preceded him in death in 2013. His nightly ritual of saying "Good night" to his late wife picture showcased the enduring love they shared.
Demetrio's life was a testament of strength and perseverance. He was an immigrant. He was a twice retired working man, but only because he was forced to retire the second time. He was a man who, despite the many adversities life threw his way, made the choice to wake up everyday and persevere for everything he proudly built from scratch. He was a cancer survivor. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and dog dad.
He leaves behind 5 children, 10 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and his most beloved, his dog Mona. He is also survived by 2 sisters and a brother. Known for his silly antics and contagious laughter, he was a source of joy and reminded us that life is about fun.
