Doris Anna Proesch

February 7, 1924 — June 1, 2024

Doris Anna Proesch was born on February 7, 1924 in Jersey City, NJ.  She passed away peacefully on June 1, 2024 at 100 years old. She graduated from West Side High School in Newark, NJ. She headed right into the workforce and met a new friend who introduced her to Ernie Proesch. The rest is history as they were happily married on September 13th, 1947. Ernie’s jobs moved them from NJ to Texas where they lived for 48 years. Doris’s attention to detail and her organizational skills took her far. She rose to the top as an executive secretary to the President of WKM Valves. Everyone knew what she liked, Bob Hope, the Glenn Miller Orchestra and her favorite author James Patterson. Her favorite song was Jingle Bell Rock and she played it year round!!
She was cool and collected, and intentional when she spoke.  She loved to smile, and was particularly happy when playing games with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is predeceased by her husband of 74 years Ernie. Survived by her daughter Barbara Kevil, son Michael and his wife Mary Jane.

In addition she is survived by 6 grandchildren, Carolyn Gilton, Kimberly Diaz and her husband Jonathan, Brian Kevil and his wife Traci,
Micala Bernardo and her husband Frank, Allison Sharp and her husband James Surma and Tyler Proesch and his wife Mia
 and 11 great grandchildren.
