With hearts uplifted in love, we gather to honor the life of Edward "Pinky" Mena—a radiant soul, devoted brother, mentor, friend, and faithful servant of God. Born in Jackson, Michigan, his journey unfolded with quiet strength and humility, each step a testament to his unwavering purpose. On June 14, 2025, at the age of 71, Edward departed this world, leaving behind a legacy etched in kindness, devotion, and grace.
A proud member of ILA Local 24 and Golden Glove Champion Boxer (1964–65) at Magnolia "Y," Edward dedicated his life to uplifting his community and guiding the next generation. With every lesson shared, every word of encouragement offered, and every glove laced, he passed on wisdom wrapped in love.
Beyond the ring, Edward was a devoted Astros fan, a lover of music, and a man blessed with a green thumb. Known for his warm heart and humble nature, he was always ready with a helping hand or a gentle word. Rooted in unwavering faith, his life stood as a living testament to love in action, grace in motion, and kindness without condition.

Edward is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Mena; his father, Francisco Mena; his mother, Guadalupe Mena Cantera; and his brother, Francisco Mena Jr.
Cherishing his memory are his beloved stepfather, Jesse Cantera; his devoted siblings—Amado (Alma) Mena, Ida Mena Renteria, Janie Mena Green, Norma Mena Holman, Ricky Mena, Howard (Lisa) Mena, David Mena, Michael Mena, and Robert (Deanna) Mena—as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will carry forward the light of his legacy.
Rest in Heaven, Edward. Your fight is over. Your spirit lives on.
