Essie Beckham Harrell

Essie Beckham Harrell passed away on October 24, 2024, in Dayton, Texas. She was born June 14, 1929, in Warren, Arkansas to Retha Iona Russell Strum and Ora Alvin Beckham. She is survived by her son Marty Cole and wife, Michele of Dayton, sister, Bobbie Doty and husband, Russell Doty of Houston, Texas, granddaughter Misty Campos and husband J.R. of Freeport, great-grandchildren, Tristan Campos, Draven Campos and Aurora Campos, daughter in law Dee Hill of Pearland. Nephews are Randy Chapin, Jim Beckham, Johnny Beckham, Joe Beckham, and Richard Beckham. Nieces are Dara Billeaud, Heather Koogler, Kathy Hillis, Kathy Wood, Ginger Clark, Gina Chapin, and Rena Jones

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Herbert Harrell, son Ron Hill, grandson Ronnie Hill Jr., great grandson Conar Rose, brothers Melvin Beckham, Dewie Alvin Beckman, Donald and wife Donna Chapin, nephew Donnie Chapin Jr. and niece Carrie Chapin.

Essie worked in the medical records department at Ben Taub hospital for many years. She also worked as the office manager and Co-Owner of Cole's Air Condition & Heating in South Houston Texas.
