Fortino P. Guzman, born on June 9, 1957, in Matamoros, Mexico, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, in Tomball, Texas, surrounded by his beloved family. He was a devoted father, brother, and grandfather, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.
Fortino dedicated his professional life to being a skilled mechanic, a craft he mastered with passion and precision. His love for cars was only rivaled by his ability to connect with people, making him a cherished figure in both his work and personal circles.
In addition to his dedication to his career, Fortino found joy in cooking, often sharing delicious meals with his family and friends. His genuine love for his family was evident in everything he did, consistently putting their needs above his own and fostering a home filled with love and laughter.
He is survived by his daughters Shakira Guzman Pascual and Nancy Guzman; his siblings Norma Ruiz, Maria Vazquez, Alicia Ostiguin, Federico Guzman Jr., Rigoberto Guzman, and Noemi Jameson (Adam Moeller); as well as his grandchildren Sofia Pascual and Zavian Pascual. Fortino leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends who will carry on his legacy of love, devotion, and resilience.
Fortino was preceded in death by his sister, Leticia Guzman, who remains in the hearts of those who cherished her.
A visitation honoring Fortino's life will be held on February 27, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Integrity Funeral Home, located at 8601 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, TX 77075. Following the visitation, a funeral service is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM, with a graveside service to follow at 2:30 PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Fortino P. Guzman will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones. May he rest in peace.
