Joel Angel Guerra

Joel Angel Guerra, 63, was born on March 22, 1961. He passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 in Houston, TX.  He was a  devoted husband to Francisca “Panchy” Guerra. They shared almost 44 years of marriage together.  He was also a loving father to three daughters, one son and grandfather to nine.

He enjoyed spending time with his kids for some family bbq’s and playing with his grandkids who loved their “Papa” very much. He frequently was up early running errands, keeping busy or simply watching TV. Every weekend he would take his wife out  to dinner followed by some shopping. 

He was a hardworking man who acquired many trades such as A/C and car mechanic and even Welding. He worked as a maintenance mechanic for over 30 years. He was always looking forward to his next visit to his hometown of Agualeguas, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. 

Angel is survived by his wife, his children: Blanca and husband Jorge Maldonado, Adriana and husband Edgar Escamilla, Valerie and husband Joel Molina, and Joel Angel Guerra Jr. and wife Pahola Guerra, his nine grandchildren: Jorge Luis Jr., Nayla, Emma, Analy, Emily, Edgar Jr, Elisa, Sofia, and Joel Adrian Jr. 

In addition by his parents Joel and Delia Guerra , brothers Juan Antonio, Jorge, Jose Arcadio Guerra, sister Maria Salinas and by many other family members. He is preceded in death by his brother Inocente “Chente” Guerra and his sister Aracely Palomares.

Joel Angel Guerra will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all of those whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
