Jose Francisco Hernandez, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and cherished member of his family, passed away on April 24, 2026. Born on June 4, 1965, Jose lived a life marked by devotion to his loved ones and steadfast commitment to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jose is survived by his devoted wife, Silvia Pineda, who stood by his side through life’s many seasons. He was a proud father to Bryan Hernandez, along with his wife Cindy, and Cristian Hernandez. He also embraced Karent Oineda Carrizales, his step-daughter, as part of his family. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren Jonathan Chavez, Andy Chavez, and Jocelyn Chavez, who brought him immense joy.

The bonds of family extended further through his mother, Imelda Figueroa Hernandez, who remains a pillar of strength and cherished matriarch. Jose’s siblings, Ada Celina Hernandez Figueroa, Maira “Lili” Hernandez Figueroa, Exias Gabriel Hernandez Figueroa, Juana Antonia Hernandez Figueroa, Fredy Omar Hernandez Figueroa, Nolvia Lizeth Hernandez Figueroa, and Paulo Javier Hernandez Figueroa, carry forward the family spirit he so deeply cherished. His nephew, Jean Paul Bock, and cousin, Narda Cruz, also survive, keeping alive the close-knit family connections Jose valued.

Jose was preceded in death by his father, Antonio Hernandez Avelar, his sister Dominga Hernandez Figueroa, his brother Jose Osmin Hernandez Figueroa, and his nephew Patrick Bock. Their memories remain in the hearts of those who loved them, intertwined with the indelible mark Jose has left on his family and community.

A visitation will be held on May 8, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Home located at 8601 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, TX 77075. Following the visitation, a funeral service will commence at 1:00 p.m. at the same location. The final rites will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery, situated at 8601 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, TX 77075, with a graveside service beginning at 2:30 p.m. that day.
