It is with profound sadness and deep respect that we announce the passing of Jose Gonzalez, who left us on May 5, 2026, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 26, 1994, in Brownsville, Texas, Jose was a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend whose vibrant spirit touched all who knew him.
Jose was a passionate sports enthusiast and true fanatic, finding joy and camaraderie in following his favorite teams—Cruz Azul, Liverpool, and the Jets. His love for sports was paralleled by his deep appreciation for music and gaming, where he was known as an avid gamer. Additionally, he found great pleasure in watching novelas, with "Rosa de Guadalupe" holding a special place in his heart.
He is survived by his loving mother, Maria Esther Balderas Herrera; his beloved sister, Joanna Gonzalez; and his cherished nephew, Ethan, along with many other extended family members and friends who held him dear. The memory of his father, Jose Gonzalez, who preceded him in death, remains a poignant part of the family's history.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones for a visitation service on May 14, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Integrity Funeral Home, located at 8601 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, TX 77075. The funeral service will be held the following day, May 15, 2026, beginning at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, also on Almeda Genoa Rd, starting at 2:30 PM.
Jose's life, filled with passion, warmth, and enthusiasm, will be remembered with great affection and respect. He leaves behind a legacy of joyful memories, unyielding love for his family, and spirited pursuits that enriched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
