Jose Daniel Hernandez

February 25, 1962 — October 10, 2023

Estimada familia y amigos,

Tranquilo. Ya descansa papá. Te echaremos mucho de menos. Te amamos. ️

Dear family & friends, This is a story about an amazing soul with a unique sense of humor. His name was Jose Daniel Hernandez.

He was born in Agua Buena, San Luis Potosí, MX on February 25th, 1962. Pursuing the American Dream he got his residency and made a decent life with a wife and 3 kids and further down the line with 2 grand babies.

Jose was a unique man. His love for people was one of a kind. He loved to smile and crack jokes. His spirit lit the room with his presence. He was the cool dad, the silly uncle, the life of the party! He was always so serious but when it came to his love for his family and friends he was a softy for them. Had a different way of showing you his care and love. He was very loved but many.

Unfortunately, about 4 years ago he got diagnosed with heart failure, then came alone liver failure. Things turned for the worse in November 2022. His heart and liver started to fail drastically that he no longer was a candidate for transplant but doctors didn’t give up on him. His family for sure didn’t give up on him. We all tried to help in every way possible. But things didn’t improve.

Despite being terminally ill nobody could take his spirit and sense of humor away from him. He would crack jokes here and there with his kids and have a dance party with his grand babies. He still had a lot to offer to this cruel world. We didn’t deserve such a magnificent human being. But we sure got lucky to enjoy him and learn so much from him!

He has fought a long battle where doctors from the hospital have told him he has a few months or weeks even days to live. He was so stubborn he showed them he lived a year more. He was a fighter, a warrior till his last breath. Death couldn’t take that from him. He will be missed.

Our family is in a huge disbelief but in comfort we find knowing he’s no longer suffering like he was. At this moment we would like to say thank you for everything and everyone thats been in this journey with us. Unfortunately now we get to bury your uncle, your friend, your brother but our beloved father.

Any donations will be appreciated and will help us to put his soul to rest. God be with us all on this time of need and suffering.

Rest easy dad. You will truly be missed. I love you. We all do!
