Josefina Lara was born on May 30, 1970, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. She departed this world on January 4, 2026, in Houston, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories.
Josefina carried with her a spirit that radiated kindness and devotion, especially towards her family. Her husband, Johnny Sierra, stood proudly by her side through many seasons of life, building a home filled with laughter and togetherness. They were blessed with four wonderful children, Carmen Victoria Lara, Emanuel Lara, Christopher Sierra and David Sierra—whose lives she impacted with her unwavering support and nurturing spirit. A nurturing mother, Josefina poured her heart into shaping the lives of her children, instilling values that they carry with them to this day.
Beyond her role as a devoted wife and mother, Josefina found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her passion for gardening provided her with solace and a connection to the earth, cultivating not only vibrant blooms but also a nurturing atmosphere in her home. Gardening reflected her personality, gentle, patient, and always striving to cultivate beauty in the lives of those around her.
Josefina was more than a family member; she was a friend, a confidante, and an inspiration to numerous extended family members and friends. Her laughter and loving presence created moments of joy that will be felt for generations.
In honor of Josefina’s life, family and friends are invited to celebrate her memory at Integrity Funeral Home, located at 8601 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, Texas.
The visitation will begin on February 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM. A graveside service will take place later that day, starting at 2:30 PM, allowing those who loved her to come together in reflection and remembrance.
Josefina Lara's impact on her family and community will forever remain a source of strength and inspiration. Her legacy of love will continue to flourish in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share their lives with her.
