Joseph E. Hartman Jr., a proud United States Marine and beloved brother, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, at the age of 69 .
Born on June 29, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois, Joe lived a life marked by honor, service, and quiet strength. He probably served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1974 to 1978, embodying the values of discipline, loyalty, encourage. His time in the Marines shaped his character and remained a defining part of his identity throughout his life.
Joe was a man of many words but relentless conversation. He carried himself with humility, always ready to support those around him with a steady presence and a generous heart. With offering guidance, Lending, a hand, or sharing a quiet moment of reflection, he left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He is survived by his loving sisters, Robyn, Marta and Jody, who will forever cherish his memory and the bond that they shared. Joe was a devoted brother, a loyal friend, and a true example of integrity and resilience.
He is proceeded in death by Joe Hartman Sr (Father), Marta, Hartman (Mother) and Stuart Hartman (Brother), John Hartman (Brother)
A private service with military Honors will be held to celebrate his life and Legacy. In remembrance of Joe, the family encourages donations to be made in his name to a veterans organization of your choice. A few of Joe’s favorites are the Gary Sinise foundation, wounded warrior and Michael DeBakey Veterans Medical Center.
