Joseph Albert Kinnard

Joseph "Joe" Albert Kinnard, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, peacefully passed away on November 12, 2025, at the age of 96, surrounded by family. He was born in Chamal, Tamaulipas, Mexico on September 9, 1929 to parents Albert Charles Kinnard and Roberta Dimas who were members of the Blalock Mexico Colony. As a young boy, he loved riding his own horse and his life on the farm was set by the rhythm of nature, from the sunrise to the sunset. As a young adolescent, he moved and settled in Houston, TX, where he lived the rest of his life.

Joe was blessed with a loving family. He raised his son and two daughters with patience, discipline, and humility. He taught them the importance of hard work and to be loving and respectful.

Joe's passion for cars and engines led him to work as a mechanic, where he got to diagnose and fix problems every day. He worked in several oil and gas companies before selecting Exxon Corporation. After a long career, he retired from Exxon to enjoy his golden years. He had many loves in life, but his most favorite way to spend his time was with his family. Caring for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was the highlight of his life.

Joe had a contagious smile followed by his signature wink and was a blessing to all that met him.

Joe continuous presence and unwavering support for his family is the same God promised him and all of us in Isaiah 46:4: "Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you".

Joe is survived by his two daughters and son Patricia Kinnard Jaimes, Elizabeth Gonzalez and Wade Kinnard; 8 grandchildren; Thomas, Eric, Leopoldo, Anna Marie Jessalyn, Isaiah, Joseph and Adam and 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. All of these he loved and touched deeply.
