Juanita "Gogi" Jimenez Herrera passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026, in Pasadena, Texas, at the age of 93. Born on March 19, 1933, in Rio Gande, Puerto Rico, Juanita lived a life rich in love, dedication, and cherished relationships that left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Juanita’s journey spanned nearly a century, marked by resilience, compassion, and unwavering commitment to her family and friends. Throughout her life, she embodied the values instilled in her by her parents, Amalia Marquez and Antonio Jimenez, both of whom preceded her in death. She grew up surrounded by siblings and a vibrant extended family, experiencing both the joy and the trials that come with large, close-knit families.

Her family was always the center of her world. Juanita is survived by her loving sister Elena Jimenez Ayala, who shared in the many milestones and moments of their long lives. She will also be remembered fondly by her devoted children: daughters Rose Reilly (deceased- Mark Reilly), Aleida Lewis (Fred Hanna), and Nealda Whitely (Donn Reichelt), and her beloved son, Guillermo Herrera Jr. As a mother, she offered boundless support and love, nurturing her children and guiding them with quiet strength.

A proud grandmother, Juanita leaves behind a legacy carried on by her grandchildren: Christopher McNeil (Hanna), Leah Lewis (Chris Word), Allen Lewis (Cynthia), Bryan Lambert (Megan), and Gregory Sandoval (Sarina.) Each of them enjoyed a special relationship with their Nanis, cherishing the wisdom, warmth, and kindness she so freely gave.

The next generations benefited from Juanita’s loving presence as well—her great-grandchildren, Madeline King (Cole Dugan), Jaedon Reichelt (Lulu Morales), Alexis Lewis, Alyssa Lewis, Caden McNeil, Cole McNeil, Kambrie McNeil, Lucian Sandoval, Braylon Lambert, Bowie Lambert, and great-great grandchild Onyx Reichelt, each carry forward cherished memories of their time with her.

Juanita’s legacy also lives on among numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and devoted friends, all of whom were touched by her graciousness and sense of community.  

She is reunited in rest with her beloved husband, Guillermo Hebbron (Willie) Herrera, who predeceased her, alongside her sisters Adela Narvaez, Elisa Jimenez, Isabel Rivera, Clara Narvaez, and Angela Narvaez, brothers Fernando Lopez; daughter Norma Whitley, her son Ruben Sandoval, and grandson Timothy Charles Lewis. The presence and influence of each of these loved ones shaped Juanita's gentle spirit and generous heart.

To honor and remember Juanita "Gogi" Jimenez Herrera, family and friends are invited to a visitation on July 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Integrity Funeral Home, 8601 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, TX 77075. The funeral service will follow at the same location from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8601 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, TX 77075, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Juanita’s life was a testament to love, perseverance, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
