Maria Amada Noyola, a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Born on February 6, 1928, in Montezuma, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, she lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a zest for life that touched everyone who knew her.
Maria’s heart was as warm and generous as her cooking, which she shared with boundless joy. She found immense pleasure in cultivating her flower gardens, the vibrant colors a reflection of her spirited personality. A keen bargain hunter, she delighted in the thrill of the chase at garage sales. Her love of music was evident in her joyful singing and dancing, a testament to her vibrant spirit. Above all, Maria cherished her family, her love for them unwavering and profound.
She is survived by her children: Arturo Trujillo, Esperanza Trujillo Palafox, and Consuelo Trujillo; her grandchildren: Roxanna Lara, Jose Trujillo Jr., Lylyana Hurtado, Tony Avila, Albert Avila, Veronica Trujillo, Consuelo Trujillo ; and her great-grandchildren: Brianna Lara, Dominic Lara, Isabella Lara, Devin Sarver, Emily Sarver, Dylan Sarver and great-great-grandchild Sean Ramos. She also leaves behind numerous other family members who will deeply mourn her passing.
Maria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Martin Trujillo, son Jose Trujillo and her granddaughter, Lesley Anne Sarver.
Maria’s memory will be a constant source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her. Her vibrant spirit, her loving heart, and her unwavering devotion to her family will be forever cherished.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, May 24, 2025, at St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 1011 Hall Rd., Houston, TX 77089.
