Sanjuana Pedraza

Nuestra querida madre Sanjuana “Janie” Pedraza (63) entró al Reino de Dios el 12 de septiembre de 2023 rodeada de sus hijos despues de una valiente batalla contra la insuficiencia cardíaca congestiva.

Nació el 3 de febrero de 1960 de María del Carmen Torres Ramírez y Ricardo Pedraza De León en Hualahuises, Nuevo León, México. Vivió varios años en México y luego emigró a los Estados Unidos en 1972 con su familia. Finalmente llegó a Houston en 1977 y creó una vida hermosa aquí.

Nuestra madre era una persona amable, cariñosa y generosa que siempre anteponía las necesidades de su familia a las suyas propias. Fue una mujer fuerte que enfrentó cada desafío de su vida con valentía y dignidad. Ella fue nuestra mayor animadora y nuestro apoyo constante. Llevó una vida de fe y siempre nos recordó que confiáramos en Dios en todos los momentos de la vida. Compartió una vida de alegría y positividad con todos los que la conocieron. Nuestra madre fue una fuente de inspiración para todos nosotros y todos aquellos cuyas vidas ella tocó la extrañarán mucho. Nuestras vidas nunca volverán a ser las mismas, pero su legado vivirá en todos nosotros.

Le sobreviven sus tres hijos: Mónica Cantú (David Cantú), Steven Salas y Joel Salas; cuatro nietos: Dominique Cantu, Ruby Salas, Matthew Cantu y Elijah Salas.

También le sobreviven sus cinco hermanos: Carlos Pedraza (Mary Pedraza), Guadalupe Pedraza (Magdalena Pedraza), Pablo Pedraza, Socorro Pedraza Valdez (Angel Valdez), María Dolores Warren (Rick Warren) y varios primos, sobrinas y sobrinos.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres María del Carmen Torres Ramírez y Ricardo Pedraza De León y su hermano Jesús Pedraza.

Our beloved mother Sanjuana “Janie” Pedraza (63) entered into God’s Kingdom on September 12, 2023 surrounded by her children after a brave battle with congestive heart failure.

She was born on February 3, 1960 to Maria del Carmen Torres Ramirez and Ricardo Pedraza De Leon in Hualahuises, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She lived several years in Mexico and later migrated to the United States in 1972 with her family. She eventually came to Houston in 1977 and created a beautiful life here.

Our mother was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. She was our biggest cheerleader and our constant supporter. She led a life of faith and always reminded us to trust God through all moments in life. She shared a life of joy and positivity with everyone that knew her. Our mother was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be truly missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Our lives will never be the same, but her legacy will live on in all of us.

She is survived by her three children: Monica Cantu (David Cantu), Steven Salas, and Joel Salas; four grandchildren: Dominique Cantu, Ruby Salas, Matthew Cantu, and Elijah Salas.

She is also survived by her five siblings: Carlos Pedraza (Mary Pedraza), Guadalupe Pedraza (Magdalena Pedraza), Pablo Pedraza, Socorro Pedraza Valdez (Angel Valdez), Maria Dolores Warren (Rick Warren) and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Maria del Carmen Torres Ramirez and Ricardo Pedraza De Leon and brother Jesus Pedraza.
