Santos L. Pulido, age 69, lived a life filled with love, laughter, and quiet strength before passing peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2025. Born on December 20, 1955, in San Marcos, Texas, Santos brought warmth and joy wherever he went. He later made Houston his home, where he built a beautiful life with his beloved wife of over 40 years, raising a family grounded in love, humor, and resilience.

Santos found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—sharing stories, cracking jokes, and spending time with his cherished nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and friends. He had a way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and loved. Conversations with Santos were never short on laughter and wisdom, and he left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

A man of many talents, Santos began his career in painting and remodeling, mastering hands-on skills that reflected both his creativity and his strong work ethic. For over 30 years, he was a dedicated employee of the Houston Chronicle, where he was respected and admired not only for his work, but also for the spirit and positivity he brought with him every day.

Santos was not just a hard worker—he was a problem solver, always finding smart, practical ways to make life and work a little easier. His cleverness and determination inspired those around him. But perhaps most inspiring of all was his courage. After facing cancer in 2022, he fought hard and achieved remission in 2023. When it returned in 2024, Santos faced it again with bravery and unwavering determination—not just for himself, but for the family he loved so deeply.

A true adventurer at heart, Santos loved to travel and fish, always ready for the next journey or a quiet moment by the water. But no matter where life took him, he always made time to show up—for his wife, his children, and his grandchildren, as a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather.

Santos is survived by his loving wife, their son, two daughters, and many grandchildren who will carry forward his legacy of kindness, strength, and joy. His presence lives on in every laugh shared, every story told, and every heart he touched.

We will forever remember Santos for his charm, compassion, clever mind, and generous heart. His life was a gift to all who knew him—and his memory will continue to be a blessing.
