Violet Khan

Violet Khan, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025, surrounded by her cherished family. Born February 9, 1935, in Pakistan, to Jhande Khan and Rosie Jugusingh Khan, Violet lived a life rich in faith, family, and creative pursuits.

Violet’s life was a testament to her enduring spirit and unwavering love. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures: the click of knitting needles creating intricate designs, the meticulous crafting of beautiful jewelry, the comforting words of Bible scriptures, and the captivating narratives of her favorite survival and nature programs. These hobbies were a reflection of her patient, detail-oriented nature and her appreciation for the beauty found in both the natural world and human creation.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Alfred S. Khan, Violet leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. She is survived by her six children: Talat Khan, Nicky Smith, Alex Khan, Rifi Strawn, Rohail Khan, and Romail Khan; two brothers: Shamin Chouhan and Aslam Chouhan; grandchildren: Frederick S. Moses, Raza E. Moses, Rajesh I. Moses, Ian Smith, Kent Smith, Nicolas Strawn, Natalia Strawn and her husband Cody Kishel, Robert Kaisl, Ariel Newby, Lindsey Weber, Grant Khan, Pearce Khan, Avery Khan, and Lance Khan; and great-grandchildren Raziah Moses, Shaziah Moses, Kaziah Moses, Enzo Kishel and Milo Kishnel. She will also be deeply missed by countless nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and generosity. Violet’s warmth, resilience, and deep faith will be remembered by all who knew her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and in the countless acts of love and creativity she shared with the world.
